The Healing Power of Rituals

Rituals are celebrated in all cultures to contact the numinous, the invisible, the intangible, that which cannot be named. Rituals are used to invoke the divine, to appease the gods, to communicate with spirit, to pray for healing. Rituals are celebrated as rites of passage, at birth, at death, on the brink of puberty, to tie the knot in marriage. Rituals can call back lost, dissociated parts of the soul. Shamans and priests are the traditional facilitators of rites. We also have an inner shaman, an inner priestess.

During this weekend workshop we will work with Active Imagination, guided imagery, mandalas, drumming, chanting, dancing, and of course drawing, painting, collage and sculpting; in particular with collected “nature stuff”; whatever from the plant, mineral and animal kingdom has significance for you. The aim is to focus on the enlightened, empowered, harmonious beauty of humanity and to support the raising of this consciousness.
